The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), chaired by RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra, on Wednesday decided to keep the repo rate unchanged at 5.25%.
Following a detailed assessment of evolving macroeconomic and financial conditions, along with the economic outlook, the MPC unanimously voted to retain the policy repo rate under the Liquidity Adjustment Facility (LAF) at 5.25%, the Reserve Bank of India said.
Consequently, the Standing Deposit Facility (SDF) rate remains at 5.00%, while the Marginal Standing Facility (MSF) rate and the Bank Rate continue at 5.50%. The MPC also decided to maintain its neutral policy stance.
